Taxi in Qeparo — between the old village and the beach
Qeparo is two places at once: an old stone village set in olive terraces on the hillside, and a newer settlement down at the shore. The road between them climbs steadily, which is why visitors who want to see both usually take a taxi for one direction at least.
Upper and lower Qeparo
Qeparo i Sipërm, the old village, sits above the coast among olive groves, with stone houses and lanes that reward an hour of wandering and a view down the whole bay. Many of the houses stood empty for years and some have since been restored as guesthouses.
Qeparo i Poshtëm, along the shore, is where most of the accommodation, the beach and the restaurants are. The two are connected by a road that is a comfortable drive and a steep walk, especially in the middle of the day.
The usual pattern is to be driven up to the old village and walk back down, or to arrange a drop-off and a pickup an hour or two later. Either works; tell us which you prefer when you book.

Arriving in Qeparo with luggage
If you are staying in the old village, be aware that parts of it are reached by narrow lanes and steps. Give us the name of your guesthouse when you book and we will agree the closest point a vehicle can reach before you arrive.
Accommodation along the shore is generally easier for vehicle access, though the beach road can be busy in August.
We also carry luggage between Riviera villages for travellers moving on mid-stay — Himarë to Qeparo and Qeparo to Borsh are both regular transfers for us.
